Forsta Discussions users are only required to have a modern PC or Mac laptop or desktop, and a modern browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari.
Minimum Requirements
Project participants must have at least he following tools and devices to participate an Forsta Discussions meeting sessions:
Computer with high-speed internet access
Internet speed of 1Mbps or greater is recommended
Microphone (using a headset is recommended)
Webcam (internal or external)
Camera resolution of HD 720p / 5MP (or higher) is recommended
Note: The user experience is designed for a minimum screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher at 100% browser zoom if using a Windows or Mac OS browser.
Windows
The following requirements apply for Windows devices:
The latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari
1.4 GHz Intel Core i3 processor or better
Windows 10, Windows 8, or Windows 7
1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
Mac OS
The following requirements apply for Apple devices:
The latest version of Google Chrome or Apple Safari
1.4 GHz Intel Core i3 processor or better, or Apple Silicon M1 or better
Mac OS X 10.9 or newer
1 GB Ram (2 GB recommended)
Mobile
The following requirements apply for mobile devices:
Apple iOS (iOS 15 and later) or Google Android mobile device (phone or tablet)
Discussions app downloaded and installed from the appropriate App Store
Browser Compatibility
Forsta Discussions offers a range of features that vary in support across different web browsers. The following differences are noted below.

Notes:
Render multiple video streams: Chrome, Firefox, and Edge support displaying multiple videos simultaneously. Safari displays only the active speaker's video.
720p video (send): Exclusive to Chrome.
Share tab audio: Available on Chrome and Edge. Absent in Firefox and Safari.
Screen share (send): Universallly supported across the listed browsers.
Recommendation
For a full-feature experience, use Chrome. Firefox and Edge have minor limitations. Safari users should be aware of its limitations, especially regarding multiple video rendering (there is warning banner in-app indicating this limitation).
