The Project Dashboard allows you to edit the project name, assign users and associated roles, manage available sessions and manage participants who are invited to join the session. These four functions are divided into different areas on the Project Dashboard.
The Project Dashboard is accessed from the Discussions Project Lists page, which shows all the individual projects that have been created. Locate the project to manage, and click the pencil icon (), highlighted in the figure below, to display the associated Project Dashboard.
The Project Dashboard allows you to manage all aspects of a Discussions project and is divided into four main panes.
Project Information
The Project information pane shows the project name and description. You can make changes to these fields at any point.
Assign Users / Roles
The Assign Users / Roles pane allows you to specify the moderators (and optionally, observers) for this project. At least one moderator must be defined for a session to be able to take place. Moderators can be Professional Authoring users, or End Users.
Refer to the Managing Moderators and Observers article for information on using this pane.
Manage Sessions
For each project, multiple sessions can be offered for participants to join. A participant can choose which session they wish to attend. Sessions can be created, edited and deleted. A moderator can also launch a session from within this pane. You can also view who has enrolled on each of the sessions by clicking on the number shown in the Participants column (refer to Viewing Scheduled Particiapnts).
Refer to the Managing Sessions article for information on using this pane.
Manage Participants
You can add any number of participants to a Discussions project, although it is recommended not to exceed 20 participants per session. Add potential participants in this Manage Participants pane, and manage the distribution of email invitations (sent semi-automatically or manually).
Refer to the Manage Participants article for information on using this pane.
