Moderators can use the Invisible Moderator feature to join a session without being visible to participants. This feature allows moderators to assist with session management and troubleshooting without disrupting the conversation.
Joining the Session as an Invisible Moderator
When you’re ready to join a session, navigate to the session and begin the joining process. On the login screen where you choose and test your microphone, webcam, and output device, you’ll see a toggle labeled Join invisible.
Enable the Join Invisible toggle before entering the session to join the session without being seen by participants. You can make yourself visible at any time during the session.
After joining the session in Invisible mode, you’ll see an eye icon labeled Not visible in the session interface. This icon indicates that you are currently invisible to participants.
Fellow moderators and observers in the session will still be able to see that you are present but invisible, thanks to a red eye icon located to the right of your name in the People pane.
Becoming Visible
To become visible to participants, click on the Not visible eye icon.
This action will trigger a pop-up modal warning that you are about to become visible to all participants in the session and your avatar, microphone, and video (if enabled) will be visible to everyone.
Select GO VISIBLE to confirm your choice to become visible. Once visible, your avatar will appear to participants, and you can activate your microphone, camera, and chat with participants.
Returning to Invisible
You can return to Invisible mode at any time by clicking on the More icon (the three vertical dots (⋮)) and selecting Go invisible. After re-enabling Invisible mode, your avatar and other visible elements will disappear from the participants' view.
Fellow moderators and observers in the session will still be able to see that you are present but invisible, thanks to a red eye icon located to the right of your name in the People pane.
