Moderators can use the Session Quick Link feature to allow participants to quickly access specific sessions, either to enroll in upcoming sessions or to join ongoing ones, with minimal need for Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Generating a Session Quick Link
Before a Scheduled Session
First, open your Discussions Project. Log in to Forsta Plus Authoring. Open SmartHub and select the Hub where your Discussions project is located. Select Discussions from the left side menu. Then, select the Discussions project you wish to open (see Project Dashboard).
From the Project Dashboard, scroll down to Manage Sessions.
Click the set of three vertical dots (⋮) next to the session that you want to generate a Quick Link for, then select Copy Session Quick Link from the dropdown menu to generate and copy the unique URL for that session to your clipboard.
Share the copied Quick Link with participants or recruiters. You can distribute the link via email, messaging apps, or any other communication channel.
When participants click on the link, they will be prompted to enter their Display Name and Email Address.
After entering this information, participants will be enrolled and a confirmation will display.
During an Ongoing Session
During an ongoing session, you can also copy the Session Quick Link. Click the More icon (the three vertical dots (⋮)) within the session interface and select Copy Session Quick Link to generate and copy the link.
When participants click on the link, they will be prompted to enter their Display Name and Email Address. See Joining a Meeting Using a Browser and/or Joining a Meeting Using a Mobile Device to see the Participant view.
After entering this information, participants will be directed to the session. If the session is ongoing, they will join the waiting room. The moderator will see them waiting and can approve their access.
